Access to Higher Education Diploma (Health Professionals) Ref. 400/1252/9

The Access to HE Diploma is a full Level 3 qualification designed to prepare learners without traditional qualifications for entry into Higher Education (HE). The Diploma provides opportunity for learners to acquire and develop knowledge and skills needed to progress to higher education study and also enables learners to develop social and emotional skills such as communication and confidence.

To achieve the Access to Higher Education Diploma (Health Professionals) Ref. 400/1252/9 learners must achieve:

• 45 credits which must be graded, academic subject content at Level 3 only.
• 15 credits which must be either at Level 2 or Level 3 ungraded (U).

Learners on our Access to Higher Education Diploma (Health Professionals) programme wish to explore aspects of health in its broad context and investigate contemporary health issues. It is for learners who seet in-depth understanding of health and healthcare; learning to research, analyse and evaluate health and health-related issues. Learners will study from a multidisciplinary standpoint, use health information and data effectively, understand and formulate health-related arguments and contest theories. Learners will also develop a range of general skills, including written and oral communication, effective problem solving, time management, report writing, researching, data analysis and the use of information technology.
